The Metro Sr. Babe Ruth Baseball League will select and send an all-star team consisting of 16
players from the Metro Sr. Babe Ruth League to multiple tournaments in Illinois and Iowa.
The tournament will be held at the end of July 2011, after the Senior Baabe Ruth State Tournament.
WE NEED THE HELP OF ALL COACHES, DIRECTORS, AND UMPIRES IN IDENTIFYING WORTHY PLAYERS AND NOTIFY THE METRO SENIOR BABE RUTH
BOARD OF PLAYERS THAT MAY BE CONSIDERED OF PARTICIPATING ON THIS TEAM.
We will not be able to see everyone all the time, so we would like the help of the league to find the players.
WE WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE A FAIR SHOT TO MAKE THIS TEAM.
The team will be chosen during a tryout on July 18th, 2011 in Apple Valley by the Coaches of the All-Star Team. There will not be a minimum or maximum number of players chosen from any
specific team. The coaches will do their best to have a well rounded team with players from all divisions.
No PALYER FROM THE 2011 SENIOR BABE RUTH STATE CHAMPION TEAM WILL BE SELECTED FOR THE ALL-STAR TEAM.
They will travel as an intact team to the Regional Tournamentin Charleston, Missouri.
There will be a tryout on July 18th, 2011 (weather permitting) - With final selections and practices to follow. When the team has
enough players, some possible scrimmages and/or games may also be scheduled.
Arrangements will be made for a uniform and transportation, hotel, food and assorted other things as needed for all the players and coaches for these tournament.
Every player will be required to pay a small fee to be on the team.
PLEASE SEND AN E-MAIL TO The Senior Babe Ruth Board with as much information on any players as you can (name, jersy number, postion)! The Board and coaches will make every effort to go and see the player recommended. Also include who you are and your contact information. The All-Star Coaches have the final say on who will attend the try-outs.
